Alameda County Selects SoftSol to Build Automated Traffic System on Microsoft Technologies

Alameda CountySoftSol Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise software and technology modernization solutions, announced today that it is building a Microsoft-based end-to-end Traffic Case Management System (TCMS) for Superior Court of California, County of Alameda (SSCA).

SCCA currently uses a legacy system to process all traffic citations issued in Alameda County, but the county of over 1.5 million people has long outgrown the capabilities of this aging technology.  SoftSol has designed a new solution that not only meets SSCA’s expanded needs but also complies with the statewide initiative Court Case Management System (CCMS).


Infoscore Software Service GmbH Transforms 3+ Million-Line Forte Application

InfoscoreInfoscore Software Service GmbH, a developer of payment and other back-office financial processing software, announced that it has deployed the COSIMA server-side application, which was converted by using SoftSol Resources' Forte migration tools and services. The COSIMA application was converted from 2 million lines of Forte 4GL code to Java/J2EE.

SoftSol has also been awarded the contract by Infoscore to convert their 1 million lines of GUI code to Java/ J2EE. The high efficiency of SoftSol's tools and maintainability of the code were key factors that determined the selection of SoftSol.

The COSIMA application is an automated debt-collection system processing 40,000 transactions per day for over 7 million accounts. It handles debt collection, claims management, and other administrative functions for Infoscore Software Service on a 7x24 basis.


Softsol Resources has bulit an Application for CalPERS Fund Deploys Java Enterprise

CalPERSThe California Public Employee Retirement System(CalPERS), is the nation's largest public pension fund with assets totaling more than $225 billion. The System provides retirement and health benefits to approximately 1.5 million state and local public employees and their families. CalPERS announced today, that it has deployed the new Java-based core of their COMET operational system. The Corporate Online Member Employer Transaction (COMET) system handles transactions on behalf of all CalPERS' 1.5 million subscribers, and the system's 2500 employers use the system statewide. The COMET system handles at least 30,000 transactions per hour, and is deployed on multiple Linux clusters to cover batch and on-line workloads.
